Okay, Bit-Techers, I need your advice.

I want to do the 12 cocktails of Christmas, but I'm stumped as to what to have on the list.

All I know is, White Russians must be involved. Unfortunately, my drinking escapades extend to beer and neat spirits - My cocktails knowledge is incredibly limited.

So, then, what are your suggestions?

Mojito, best cocktail ever, it's like a garden in a glass. A minty lime garden true, but a garden non the less

As well as the obligatory martini, there's loads of others to choose from, including the traditional eggnog.

Googling for "christmas cocktail" returns hundreds of pages. More than enough inspiration to choose from.

I really should watch that film one day..

A minty-lime garden? This sounds promising.

They don't have to be christmas related :B

But yes, there are many pages there.

There's the standard Christmas Breakfast cocktail -

    Take 1/2 pint lager.
Mix gently with another 1/2 pint lager.

If you're feeling adventurous, replace the second ingriedient with strongbow, and add a dash of blackcurrant.

whiskey and ginger ale (not the cloudy beer! use something like schweppes canada dry) is always tasty.

anythign from half'n'half to 3:1 ginger _wine_ & whiskey is also nice.

Well for me one would be Chambord & Champagne, unadventurous name but we have it for xmas breakfast.

Have you had a look on Cocktail UK, and some Christmassy tagged ones from Extratasty, they're all user submitted.

Oh and +1 for the Bloody Mary (must be super spicy tho!) and Mojitio.

Your 3:1 cocktail (although I prefer measures the other way round: 3 measures of whisky to one measure of ginger wine) is called a Whisky Mac, and is one of the best drinks to have when coming back on a cold evening. We always make sure we have a good bottle of whisky and a bottle of the Crabbies when the nights start drawing in.

Mojito is more of a summer drink; at this time of year, I prefer whisky-based drinks - especially with a good, peaty whisky in them.

Mmmmm...might have to raid the drinks cabinet now :D

This sounds interesting. Some investigations shall be conducted!

I can't tell if you're being disapproving or not..

    New favourite drink site!

I cannot think of anything more disgusting. My flatmate, however, might be interested.

Sorry, was quoting Old Gregg there for a moment.

    Lemon Drops.

2parts lemon vodka 1part lemon juice. serve with a sliver of lemon rind.

In relation to this then does anyone know if there are any sites out there which will generate you a drink based on the ingredients you already have?

::edit:: Offers up "Snowball" to the list purely based on the wintery name.
