Sanity Grinding is a cool card, although Standard combo decks are not nearly as ridiculous as Legacy and Vintage, since you don't have nearly the access to cards. That also makes some of them much more impressive in my opinion, especially Sanity Grinding actually being used effectively in a deck.
That does seem a very groovy little combo actually, and nothing costs a staggeringly large amount to cast either which is a bonus Having said that, decking decks have been around for a while, (Tolarian Academy and Pemmin's Aura / Wirewood Channeler spring to mind) although I'm not sure how successful the latter was in tournaments.

The real successful mill decks tend to use Brain Freeze after playing High Tide, draw spells and things like Cloud of Faeries that untap lands. Perhaps the best keyword ability in Magic is Storm, considering how ridiculous cards like Brain Freeze and Tendrils of Agony are. A Chaos Orb you say KayinBlack? I would love to have one of them, I have the promo oversized(6"x9") Chaos Orb. It's such a stupid card that I really like it.
I am in need of some older cards for an EDH (100 card singleton) deck as the old cards are hideously powerfull in it.
Ah, now I always heard that referred to as a Highlander deck. Are they the same thing, or is there a distinction that I have missed?
they are the same as EDH stands for Elder Dragon Highlander where you used to use one of the original ledgendary elder dragons as a general and then use cards of the came colour as the "generals" casting cost only. My general is the great Nichol Bolas
I'm glad they let you use any legendary creature now, as it opens up many more potential decks. Although most of my friends who play have at least one based on a legendary dragon, but mostly the more recent ones. Nicol Bolas is my favorite of the Elder Dragons. I'm building mine using Vorosh, the Hunter from the enemy color Planar Chaos Dragon Legends.
