    Hey

My friend has just bought a "6500 GHz" processor, lol, and I am trying to tell him that you can't get an Intel Xeon server to $4000 running 6500 GHz.. It MUST be 6500 MHz, but he wont listen to me.

So, there isn't any dedicated processor with 6500 GHz (Xeon Quadcore runs max 3.2 GHz), but his father is "educated it specialist and runs a shop bla bla bla", so it's ME who has a fail, and doesn't know ANYTHING about hardware (lol).

    Please let him know ;)

I'd just tell him to bury his server at least 100 feet underground, otherwise he will disintegrate himself and everyone else within a 3 mile radius.

I think if you just tell him that the most expensive processor you can buy runs two thousand times slower, he might give up.

Take away the processor and when he asks why tell him it is for his own good. If he resists... slap him and yell "NO! BAD DOG".

I just hate people who don't listen to anything, and think they have everything right and also use stupd arguments like "my father is an educated professionalist and runs a shop and bla bla"...

Usually they are some fanbois, or haters. Such as Mac fanbois, or Vista haters or Microsoft haters.

And also, the "fact" that multicore processors would double or quadruple the clock frequency (like 4 * 3.0GHz = 12.0GHz) is deeply rooted to some people.

I had a friend once who just for some reason turned into a Linux fanboi and Microsoft hater... He's no longer my friend.

    Pffft.

    I've gone faster than that.

My current system even requires a 1.21 Giggawatt power supply -- my electrical source of course is a bolt of lighting.

Tell him to turn on his PC and press pause when the BIOS boot screen is showing the CPU speed, point to it and say "see I told you so" and then slap him :D , I would have suggested a program like Everest but he will claim you have rigged it or the developers have rigged it or it has a virus. :duh:
