    Cool frogs, and good advice!

Doesn't seem like you've figured out how to remove a poll yet though... have you PMed Jamie? :)

The only options I have in thread tools is email, subscribe, and printable version. I guess it's time to find a moderator.

Poll's are fun, how about a new poll?

    When will my panels arrive?
    1) this month
    2) next month
    3) sometime this year
    4) next year
    5) would be faster to just plant a carbon fibre tree and wait for panels to grow

Hey john, Long time lurker here. This thread has inspired me to sign up and just say what an awesome build you've got going here plus by just reading the thread you really get a sense of what a great guy you must be. Must be hard knowing the project is close to finished (if any mod is truly ever finished) and yet the CF just will not arrive. Ah well hope the new ones langer is doing for you actually make it this time.
And mvagusta: CF grows on trees!! OMG that would be awesome.. "daddy this doesn't taste like an apple".."Thats because its Carbon fiber jimmy"..."oh god MY INSIDES ARE BURNING!!"

Thanks for tuning in! I really hope Langer is going out of town to take care of his family matters. Family comes first. We've waited this long, we can wait some more.

New CF panels are cut, they will be shipped via UPS 2-day service to John asap.

I'm on the road tomorrow morning headed North for the funeral, I'll bring the panels with me and drop them off at the first UPS store to cross my path.

    edit:
My camera is MIA, so there are no cutting pics - srry.

    The bottom line is this.

Mankind has not yet conceived a -viable- superior material.
    It looks tits.
It's stronger than any metal alloy - in fact Carbon Fiber is the 2nd strongest material known to man (1st is the common spiderweb)
It's lighter than any metal alloy.
It's flexibility and rigidity can be controlled to finite levels.
    It doesn't corrode.
It's applications are literally limitless due to the varieties of resins and weaves.
This list goes on and on.

The final word is carbon-fiber is the most advanced structural material we have... and that pleases me greatly.

I had a few of them before I had to retire .......The last one that I owned was a 1987 Coupe Quatro with a 2.2 Liter 5 cylynder that had dual turbo chargers and close to 300hp..... just couldn't afford it anymore.
Now I'm back to a VW Lupo , really small car with 50hp....

OW! They make golf carts with more power than that! Does it fold into a briefcase at the push of a button?

It's a small and very inexpensive car considering gas prices in Germany the best thing I couls do...............
My last motorcycle was a '98 1.299 cm3 Suzukii Hayabusa with 173hp that I bought new and sold in '04 .............top speed ~330kmh about 205mph .......

sometimes I wish it would ..............

'busas are BAD! The dealer here has a special riding class to attend before you can buy one from him. Colorado doesn't have an autobahn but the CHP record is 173mph on radar and they didn't chase him/or her.

Yep 'busas are real mean machines.......you can keep it on the rear wheel all the way up into sixth gear ......... you could use up a rear tire in no time and the things are expensive too........

The good thing now that has changed here in Germany is that a beginner who just got his/her drivers license can't go out and buy one of these or any other larger bike over I believe 30hp . They have to ride the slower bike for 2 years take another test (if I'm correct) before getting on a big bike.My license is from "74 and I don't have that restriction ..........

But that law is good as even some experienced drivers went and took up a credit bought the bike and killed themeselfs on a 'busa or one of the others ...................

I had to sell because of my health situation .....................
