You see, your first real mistake was that you were expecting customer service from WalMart staff. Your second mistake was that you were expecting sympathy and help from the general public. In my experience, if you set your expectations low (basement level, usually) then you won't be disappointed.
Yup, a load of us at work got told off for leaving mud in the shower area after football. The cleaners refuse to clean it up
i would have grabbed the guys phone and suck it in the mess, then got my phone out and took a pic of 'phone in mess'. That would have made him think!
And this is one of the things i dont understand. Job title: CLEANER, C-L-E-A-N-E-R so, if someone leaves a mess, surely that means you have to clean it up if it states so in your job title!
You should of got a picture of it! Trip to Wallmart = $5 Choosing roses for that special someone = $40 Smelling a funny smell and looking down to find your dog has crapped all over Wallmart's shiney floor = Priceless
To side with cleaners on some level, it doesn't mean that just because there is one you can be extra messy. However (as in Doug's example) it doesn't mean they shouldn't clean the kind of mess they signed up for in the first place.
There's a line. There's people being extra messy because someone else will clean up, and there's people who haven't worked hard enough to be anything but a cleaner moaning because they have to clean. Any of the latter need a slap. As do any of the former.
Dont get me started about cleaners... In my halls last year one of the cleaners decided to clean dog crap out of his shoes with our dishcloth. If that wasnt bad enough he then used the same cloth (without even rinsing it) to wipe down the work surfaces in our kitchen. Finaly he got angry with me when I tried to tell him why he shouldnt be doing it. The other cleaner managed to pee herself in one of the kitchens, the kitchens are less than 15 yards from the toilets. To reply to Gooey-Gui, I understand your feelings however I think it may in fact have been the dogs way of communicating her feelings regarding modern consumerism and the way that it has overshadowed the origional meaning of many of our festivals/celebrations. Of course shes a dog and couldnt explain that, insted she shat in the flowers at walmart. Moriquendi
I'm not defending the guy at all but you all seem to have assumed he is infact a cleaner, when it was merely stated he was a walmart employee. Cleaners tend to work when the store it not open etc so it's highly likely he's just a member of customer service etc and to some extent I can sympathise with him not wanting to clean up poo altho he shouldn't have shared his dismay infront of the customer. Por example: At the SU bar I work at, the other week a girl managed to have diorrhea (sp?) all over the ladies toilets, including 3 seperate cubicles, the wall and the sink and hand dryer.... as members of bar staff I don't think my 2 colleagues who's names were drawn out of the hat ever anticipated they would have to clean up poo, as it's not in your job description minus 'keeping all areas 'tidy' '.... then again **** really does happen!
Seen that before, but add in vomit to the mix, and the girl unconscious on the floor. Toilets had to be closed for 15 mins to get it cleaned up.
