while this is exciting, I'm guessing most netbooks are going to be a bit more than $299 USD :-/ .. looking forward to see what they come up with though

i think this with a dual core atom and coreavc (which can now do hardware acceleration with CUDA) would make a very good HTPC

Can't wait for a ~1L enclosure with one of these, like we've seen for the Atom. Chuck it next to/behind/under TV, and insta-HTPC with low power usage and enough power for the lot :)

Here's for hoping that the mini-itx motherboards can be brought on their own and are <£100 at least :thumb:

Hopes the new ITX boards will be sub £100, like current Atoms.

Would be an awesome little machine, PCI great for a decent sound card. HTPC all the way!

£240 isn't low..... but i don't mind a £400 netbook with that inside :) 1080p when plugged in, to a HD TV is that's most attractive.

Am I the only one seeing something troubling in the fact that they had to get it m$-certified before releasing? This is kinda ridiculous - hardware manufacturers relying on a single software company before releasing their product. And another thing - Vista on Atom? Hell yeah, you'll have to wait a couple of minutes before all the "essential" bloatware loads just to watch something. Makes me lol so hard...

If it is going to be cheap, in a small box with a LCD and Bluray drive running XBMC and displaying full hd MKV's, me want.

No point in releasing a product that isn't Microsoft certified - considering the market share that they have...
