Nobody said insanity can't be a good thing :D

Very inspiring mod, especially with the use of such common, every day items :eeek:

Those are parts commonly used to make furniture, I've seen those as already made wooden figures sold in furniture hardware shops. If you look Filimon uses also furniture handles. I think you may also find those figures as plastic parts.

I wonder if Filimon uses brass parts, they look too much nice for me to be wooden or plastic. I think you could also find these type of parts in those handcraft shops that sell parts for those seudoantiques they make painting plaster blank figures.

KayinBlack in Mithril promised a tutorial about using gold leaf or silver leaf; he has some impressive bas-relief figures done carving wood and using silver leaf.
Look at the first page in Mithril .
You could ask him to finally give us that tutorial.

Looks like a volume control to me!

Great mod so far, looking forward to seeing it with all the keys on. Not to mention seeing it beside the fully constructed steampunk project! Can't wait to see how you're gonna do a case, and the monitor could be interesting too!

Those holes on the right where the numpad usually is... I keep thinking 'rotary phone dial'. Would be pretty nasty to wire though (need a microcontroller to convert the rotational position to a keypress) and inconvenient to actually use, though.

this is beautiful... somebody to go with me to Russia and rob the keyboard?

and about those holes... those are multidimensional disruptions in space and time, to store spare keys and steampunk headphones.
