Heh, awesome build. Not ghetto, but definitely cool.

Anyone who keeps jabbering on about it setting on fire needs to stow it. Cardboard has a typical ignition temperature of well over 200'C, if you get temps that hot, directly touching your case, you've got bigger problems! More info here.

-From Krikkit's link. There's my problem. I was going to use a model rocket engine for the HD activity indicator.:(

Cardboard box mods are great fun, everyone should try it at some point in their modding career.

When I did one, I ended up having to rest the PSU on top of the PCI slots to fit everything in!

And no, it didn't catch fire. I wouldn't worry about that.

YES! finally a full blown attempt at something I missed so much. I cant decide wether the complexity of it so far is pure win or blasphemy to all that is ghetto.

Too much text, not enough cardboard.

No pics using tools such as a :dremel: on the cardboard?

    Out of Order !!!!!

This is a ghetto mod as such requires kitchen knives, scissors, push pins, white glue and a BUKKIT load of ingenuity. Takes a brave man to face BT with a project of this magnitude.

Dremels are for us mortals. No electrical appliances allowed.

 Please tell which dremel bit is best for cutting cardboard. I think I'm better off shaving it with an insanely sharp knife. I have a few of those around here...
-The frame of the front panel is... Where did it go? It's in the pic somewhere. It's getting messy.
-I'm starting the back panel frame now. I need to make some slots for it to fit into.
-I have to use balls, and it's an unwritten rule that they come in pairs. These are salvaged from used roll-on deodorant bottles. They are also good for nearly indestructible ping pong balls, (they friggen hurt, though...)
-I'm gluing together another part here, Using my big n- oh, I almost forgot another unwritten rule: only one ball joke per post.:(

-This picture might give away my plans. If you figure out what I'm planning, please don't boo too loudly.

Let's see Texan - sharp knife - probably a Bowie Knife! Yeah that's it!

I tried to tell these people NO DREMEL. Nobody listens to their elders anymore.

No anatomical comments from me. Just watching this one.

No Bowie knives here. They are a little thick for cutting, so not very practical to me. The current trend in oversized cutlery is cheesy cheap fake katanas.

So first you have blu-balls, and now you've got those massive nuts!
I dunno what you are doing, but those nuts would be damn heavy for the cardboard. I'm looking forward to see what the heck you are gonna do
    I'm watching :eyebrow:

The nuts are for mashing things together during gluing. I can't put them in the case. I use them too much!:hehe:
The lumpy stuff is lead, I'm making a really good bowling ball.

Gee Cheapskate, when you read the instructions on the side of the glue bottle, which said "..press firmly together..." you took that part pretty damn seriously!

Oh cool, the balls and nuts, with all the cardboard, the general shape looks as if it should resemble a frog or toad when finished?

Am i right, do i win anything?

@John - The silver goes in my water loops, to fight the bacterial hordes.:p
@burnout - No and no.:D I might just be that bad of an artist, though.
@Mvagusta - The instructions say: 'Vid limming av pergo stryks riklight med lim i hela'~something. It has to be the only product left in the US without instructions in Spanish.:eyebrow:
