I had a red and black colour screen which is absolutely appalling and makes my head hurt, along with being difficult to read. Thank goodness for my little colour zapping button :)

If anyone else wants it, I can't remember where I got it from but just create a bookmark with this is it:
    javascript:(function(){var%20newSS,%20styles='*%20{%20background:%20white%20!%20important;%20color:%20black%20!important%20}%20:link,%20:link%20*%20{%20color:%20#0000EE%20!important%20}%20:visited,%20:visited%20*%20{%20color:%20#551A8B%20!important%20}';%20if(document.createStyleSheet)%20{%20document.createStyleSheet(%22javascript:'%22+styles+%22'%22);%20}%20else%20{%20newSS=document.createElement('link');%20newSS.rel='stylesheet';%20newSS.href='data:text/css,'+escape(styles);%20document.getElementsByTagName(%22head%22)[0].appendChild(newSS);%20}%20})();

I've been on their site - what the hell do they do?
For the 3 or 4 products I clicked on, there was no "Price" or "buy now" button, just datasheets.

Oh, and the obligatory "Ow, my eyes."

I think they're European distributors for all the products on their site.

Heh. Just a plugin for Compiz: quick win+n and it inverts the current window, however in this case, it's been no use whatsoever. :(

Down with the colours. Also; who on Earth thought replacing a Scan sub-forum with this tripe was a good idea? -1 for the marketing department's blatant disconnect from the actual market.

Whow, lets get something straight here - it's not a "replacement". Manufacturer forums are specific subsets to the community requested for and maintained by the companies behind them. They have NOTHING to do with bit-tech as a brand and will be moderated and replied to mostly by Nanopoint staff. bit-tech merely provides an appropriate community with which Nanopoint, or any other company can be apart of.

I dont really like the theme, but I will check back in on this forum to look about the products. Too bad this is overseas.

    Edit:
Oh hey, my signature looks neat here.

white text on black is more readable than black on white. to quote maddox, try staring at a 100W lightbulb all day.

that said, the actual colour scheme and design is baaaaaaaad. especially the tiled background. i mean waaah :(

I have a bad feeling about the changes going on at BT...

We all know how the Scan forum ended up...

I was really aiming that at Dennis.. I presumed it would be them calling the shots.

As part of the provided community, I guess that means I'll be voting with my non-presence then. :)

    Hi All,

Thanks for your feedback first of all - I have also made it clear that the colour scheme isn't ideal. I'm sorry this got through before I had chance to offer feedback from your viewpoint.

I had quite an active role in the design of the Scan forum when that was launched on the site and a slight misunderstanding on my part meant I wasn't involved early enough in this particular forum design. Because of this, my feedback wasn't sought until very late - too late - and so what we ended up with something that was less than ideal with no time to change it. However, I've made arrangements to ensure that I am involved (and can represent a likely reaction from the community) much earlier in the process for something like this.

Finally, the good news is that there will be some changes to the colour scheme made today/tomorrow (depending on how long it takes) and there should be 'light' and 'dark' versions available. Hopefully the new colour schemes won't be as harsh on the eyes.

    Thanks for understanding.

    Tim
