I have to admit that I was a bit aprehensive about this chapter in the series, especially after T3 which wasn't that great. However after seeing this trailer I am now really looking forward to this film:- http://uk.msn.com/?ocid=iefvrt I reckon that if you have Christian Bale on board you have a certain amount of credibility automatically attached, currently I can't think of anyone who can surpass him for the intensity he can put into his roles. I think the scheduled release for this film is late May 2009.
I agree, following T3, I really hoped they wouldn't ruin the franchise any further, but this seems like it's a pretty alright film. Better than the cinematic turd that was T3, at least. Also, if you don't want to watch the trailer with a magnifying glass, Apple has them here.
Looks good. I hope they don't ignore the first 2 films too much, I'd like to see some kind of cool time travel concept in there somewhere.
Christian Bale is awesome And the trailer looks much better than I expected, I'm looking foward to it
I did here that McG (what the hell kind of name is that?) was working along the line that he was essentially going to ignore T3.
The idea is to have a trilogy set in the post apocolyptic world, culminating at the end of the the third film with Kyle Reese chasing a T800 through time to the 1980s, starting the whole series again.
I hope this turns out to be something memorable. And not another jumped up action movie. The director is a bit of a nub.... could go horribly wrong.
Well, on the subject of reprising roles, apparantly Arnie is in negotiation to make some kind of appearance in this film - rumour has it he will have his faced digitally mapped on to the dude (can't remember his name) playing the skinned T800. Also Linda Hamilton and Robert Patrick are also rumoured to be making appearances at some point in the upcoming trilogy. Things are still up in the air at the moment but it seems that McG was very talkitive at one of the recent Comicons - perhaps he said too much?
