It's a FlexATX PSU (not micro-atx), look this:

 

I would use the failed-hole for something else than just a screw (imo it would look silly with a screw there for no reason?). Would you be able to place a power or a reset button in that spot? Or maybe add a slice of plexi on the outside with something engraved. Just my 2 cent, otherwise it looks very exiting, and how your hardware fit in this box is just amazing

The entire costs for now:
- 80€ motherboard
- 20€ ddr2 ram
- free ikea boxes (6€)
- free hdd's (70€ x3)
- free aluminium profiles (estimated 5€)
(edit) - free PSU (~19€ if we look at the Langer post)

Total: 100€
Total (as new): ~340€

Some things are free because they are already at home before starting the project

Looking really good! If you'd used a pico PSU would there be enough space underneath the motherboard to have two hdd next to eachother horizontally? Doh, never mind - 2x hdd width is more than 1x hdd length. What about two stacked on top of eachother?

 

really great project, i myself got a atom itx with a pico psu that i plan to use as mini server and htpc
but i plan to build a wooden case. still great source of info for my build

those ikea boxes are usually pretty flimsy, will the computer be safe inside? the fit/finish looks perfect so far though, besides that one extra hole.

 

Next to the PSU fit some 2.5" hdd's (or maybe ssd's), it's possible to fit one for the OS. With a pico-psu it's probably posible to fit 2 more 3.5" disks, but uses an external adaptor, I prefer an internal one.

I apologize for my poor english, but you really deserves an special consideration or something by the nice work that you did in your mod

Oh really thanks, I was thinking about whether it would be better, a Raid-5 or a Raid-10 (thinking about future expansions with more disks or the same but +2TB per disk ).
