Black, with big modern alloys and 4 exhaust at the back. It was pornographic.

I've also seen an 80's Camero in Burton on Trent, but that looked a bit beat up.

Tell you what i did see today, a volvo v50 or v70 with these alloys that were flat dished with 5-6 spoke 'holes' in the alloys, with a shiny like blade on the back end of each of these holes, damn thing was weird.

Looked like you could put a potoatoe up against it while spinning and get some nice crisps from it haha.

Don't usually get anything that stupid, although there are a lot of cars with about 3 spoilers on them near my road in Cardiff

i have heard of said phenomenom in the states, but i dont think this can be transferred over, our cars are just, no way near the same....how old is the car in that picture?

now find one of our british cars of a same age, just wouldnt be anywhere near right, not that it is right on your side of the pond.....

I just dont get why they think getting the biggest rims they could onto their car shows off something about them?

People here in Colorado are used to getting into vehicles that high. We have so many stupid SUVs and trucks here that are jacked way high. What's really funny is to see what of the new Smart cars next to one. One of those trucks rear ended you, it would just slice off the roof.

Take more than a handbar - some of these are HUGE! How do they get to the door handle?

In the UK we have an annual test (M.O.T), to ensure vehicles are roadworthy, do you guys have have something similar, because I don't see how that car, could ever pass any objective measure of being safe for the public highway?
Those wheels and mods must cost a hefty sum!, Over this side of the pond, we have a saying that you can't shine a turd!!!

Smart cars are pretty damn strong what with their Tridion steel safety shell, they are pretty much un-squashable.

As far as i know, americans dont have / need an MOT or any form of test for roadworthiness, but i could be wrong.

I'd love to see one of these donl cars take evasive action to avoid a crash, bet it would end up on its side rather easy!

Fix'T. Please people, it's called a wheel, while the edge of the wheel is the rim. :p :hehe:

Turbotab, I know that saying also. I agree 100%. It's the "Rappers" mainly who are doing this flashy turd-shining thing. I'd never create/own such an abomination of an automobile(or motorcycle) (especially for looks over performance). There's too many (slow) ugly cars.

They appear to be built on almost ANY rear wheel drive vehicle with zero accounting for taste.
Cadillacs Chevys, Fords, all are being butchered(my opinion).

We have an inspection usually every 2 years, but I don't believe there are specific requirements for the wheels, as long as they are DOT-approved, and have enough tread on them.

They check other stuff... emissions, the ECU, the horn, signals, and lighting.

ugh, i hate these f*cking things... no offense to anyone on here who is, but the town i live in is a military town, so theres military, civilians, and then the wanna-be gangs: crips and bloods. Like i said, wanna-be. They all drive those "things" pictured above. Cant call it a car. I laugh when they crash or go offroad, sad as it is, but they are annoying and the jerks here think they own the road and if you dont put up with their bs, they shoot at you or hit you. my car has a lot of damage ;)

but yeah, those things shouldnt be street legal. Somehow they are and my small engine mods arent:sigh: Damn f'd up government

My Philly Cheesesteak delivery guy that comes to the house drives one with 30" wheels. That's why I brought it up.

If you want to see slack - go to Iowa. Hand them a title and get plates. Nothing. No emissions, no inspections. Combines on the county roads. Tailpipe emissions like James Bond's smoke screen. Sad.

Oh! You ride motorcycles? Here let me stamp that for you. No test, nothing.
