The £299.99 and £329.99 models look to be the same on the Play site. Any idea what the extra £30 gets you?

Both of the top end models have the wireless keyboard and mouse and the 3D mouse thing.

One thing I don't understand is why AspireRevo has only 10/100 LAN port if ION comes with GigE PHY?

    How much!

From dell you can get an actual computer with the following specs for £310 including shipping,,

    AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core 5200+ (2.7GHz, 512Kx2)
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium SP1 - English
1 Year Limited Warranty - Collect & Return
    Display Not Included
    2048MB Dual Channel DDR2 800MHz [2x1024] Memory
    250GB (7200rpm) SATA Hard Drive
    Integrated ATI Radeon HD3200 Graphics

That took about 20 seconds to find. I'm sure you could get a system better than these ions for around £200 if you do a little hunting.

What's the appeal of one of these small devices if the price/performance ratio is WAY off? Do they not get it??

thing is if you have alot of storage- your still going to need a box to put all the drives.. the power draw would be nice but that's about it.. like we run a vista box and have a remote for the media center, you can buy the remote on newegg- can add more storage as needed.. I guess this would be nice to cut down , I just don't see the need right now

if I was building a new media center from scratch, I might consider this and put everything on usb..
