NZXT supplied me that very same PSU for use in the Rogue. It's certainly a very nice unit, although it doesn't get much exposure. Props to Johnny H. and crew for all their support here as well. I can tell you from first hand experience, they are really pushing to bring innovation to the market.

Not much of an update, but me and Bill decided to pop open the NZXT PSU and see what makes it tick.

It is heavy, pack with power and has a 120mm cooling fan.

We may paint the PSU shell matte black to match the chassis. Speaking of paint, Brad Galvin started on the panel logo today

Scuffing the paint surface first, with red scotch brite pad, to promote adhesion

Tracing logo template onto masking film with tranfser paper (art supply store)

The first stage of paint will be marbelizing the logo, this will give the surface a cracked and weathered look

Apply sheet of "Saran Wrap" over clear base coat. Allow to sit for 1 minute before peeling off. You get a cracked effect, this is refered to as a Marbelized effect, you can do it over paint too, it's especially cool with candy colors, it was first created by Jon Kosmoski in 60s, the wizard behind House of Kolor paints, fyi: his paint shop is 1 block from our studio.

Like anything else, it takes lots of practice. Brad has 16 yrs experience painting, so Always try it on a test piece first!

So we have freehand cutting with the X-Acto knife - no caffeine allowed and plenty of sharp blades. :jawdrop:

Marbleizing paint and air brushed magic.

    Kudos to Brad :thumb:

    Very nicely done.

Took it out into the sunlight, again, this is before clear coating it

This would make a cool BEER logo, "Do you have Wolfenstein on Tap?" :naughty:
