    Thanks DonT-Fear.

My intention was to make this kind of cutting for it:

I used Paint, because i don't have l33t photoshopping skills.

What do you think, because i'm not sure, should i leave it like that, or make that "window cutting"?

    Hmm. Any other opinions?
5 hours time to say which is better, cut or no cut? Because i decided to get it finished in this week and today is only possible day to use better tools than dremel in this week.

Cutting acid proof steel with dremel really takes loads of cutting disks and time. :blah:

It looks pretty good as stock but I really like the look of those extra cuts, the steel you used has a ton of structural integrity so I say go for it ;).

No. Half of the psu will be inside the frame and another half inside the case. Psu will be secured with some screws for the case and this frame should stay nicely still above the psu, because it should be quite tight fit. So it shouldn't need any securing, but that will be seen later.

Here's the cutting for the side:

Sometimes when you're making something, you might hear a little voice who whispers inside your head, "carefully, don't make scratches or you need to do some serious sanding..". Of course you know what you are doing, so no reason to listen that stupid voice. You can see those scratches in picture above, not big ones, but would definatelly look bad in polished surface. Little rushing with corner grinder means more time with the sanding paper.

    Another side:

And the inside, not so beatiful, but it won't be visible at all.

    Posing:

After polishing and psu inside, it should look quite nice.

The extended cuts really give it a completely different look, I dunno how to describe it lol but it looks good.

Thanks 4 handed mate. My intention was to make some "shaping" and engraving for it, but i think i'll leave it like that, it looks much cleaner without any decorations which could easily be overkill. So, just a simple, clean frame for the psu.

If i have time today, i will start to make a candle holder for the webcam.

Thanks DonT-FeaR! I'm still thinking should i do some shaping for it?

Again i show my l33t skills with paint :

^ That is one reason why i don't use 3d-models to show my plans, you just don't want to see them. :)

Those white spots are small cuts, little something like as an saw blade.

I think they might fit for the frame, what do you think?

    E:

    I did some candle testing:

Don't know does it look like an candle or something else instead. :naughty:

But, that was just made for practise.

    Small update:

I made an backplate to attach psu to the case.

First i marked the cutting lines and holes for the screws:

When drilling acid proof steel, is recommended to use some cooling to prevent strain hardening.
I use Fuchs cutting spray for that.

After drilling i did countersunks with bigger drill:

Then i started cutting. You might see that i don't broke the line, is more accurate to cut beside it.

After several cuts i got some pieces of:

Did some raw shapening with the edge of flapdisc:

And finished corners with that round sanding thingy, which name i don't know:

Before final cuts i did some sanding, because its more easier to hold bigger plate than small:

And there's the part before watersanding:

I have also started new modding project. Don't know should i make own work log for it, because its going to be quite basic.

    That's all folks.

I believe the "round sanding thingy" is called a sanding drum. The PSU back plate looks very nice, almost like a Lian Li one, except shiny ;).

Yeah why not, make another worklog for this new project, it will be interesting to see what you have up your sleeve for this one.

    Thanks MIGUI!

Sanding drum, i try to remember it. Thanks.

Yeah, i used on Lian Li backplate as a model, so similarity didn't come accidentally. :)
Next project is going to be quick, "car-mod" for a friend. I'll make new thread when i have done something more than ripping it off.

It really took some time, nothing else done.
