    resonance

    what kind of resonance does this kind of wood case get?
    what thickness is the MDF? 1/4" ? that's about 6mm?

    Forester Joe,

    Not sure what the resonance will be on the cases. They are made of Maple and Cherry. Are you asking about sound attenuation or frequency the case will vibrate(resonance)?

    As for the MDF, the MOBO side, back plate and bottom are 1/4" MDF. The Lacewood veneer pieces (top and front) are 3/16" MDF.

    Worked on the doors today. Used Tung Oil to start building up the finish. Should have pictures tomorrow.

    I'll affix the Shoji after they have dried.

    yes, I used Tung Oil on the Shoji Doors, so I keep the colors the same. 2 frames are Cherry and 2 are Maple. The top and front are Australian Lace Wood. The back plate is MDF and will be painted Black.
