Cooling White coolant.

Has anyone ever seen any white coolant or dye? I guess it would look similar to milk, though that sounds a bit gross having milk pumping around your system!

EDIT: I'm aware that you can get white tubing, but afaik you can't get white tygon, and I really want to use tygon

 

You cant get white coolant atm but you can get decent quality white masterkleer tubing

 

Powder coat the tygon...?

That would be as wise as using milk for the coolant.

^^ No, milk would be a brilliant idea in comparison to powdercoating tube.

Lets think shall we. Tygon takes say 90* max?
Hmmm... a powdercoating oven is over 200*

Sarcasm aside, I'd reccomend coloured tubing over dyes any day...:

Which was why I stated I was pulling ideas out of nowhere.

Spraypaint might be possible, but the tubing will/should be stuck in place if that is done.

 

You're forgetting that powdercoating works by making the metal piece you're painting electronegative. So yes, the baking wouldn't work, but as plastics are insulators, the paint wouldn't even adhere!

 

Okay I really want to avoid this horrid build up from the dyed coolants - do you think the additives in the CLEAR feser one (anti corrosion + anti algae etc.) would cause a build up? Should I stick with just distilled water?

Also - what is the best quality coloured tubing around?

 

I would stick with plain ol distilled and some nice coloured tubing. Your water blocks after 6months will stilllook healthy and you wont have any nasty deposits.Coloured tubing is the future to be fair, it seems all the rage at the mo too!

primochill primoflex pro LRT white tubing is the best there is.
DD is next.
Everything else is third.

White tubing is your *only* option.

 

Milk is your fourth option.

 

i can imagine how nasty the milk situation would become after a little time.

 

Recent update on this FluidXP are working on the white coolant and as soon as it made we will have stock

 

I hate to throw a spanner into the works, but here is my block after 3 years heavy use with blue UV dye in the system.




Maybe it's when you use dye in a system that wasn't fully sterile to begin with that you get problems?


When it was drained, the fluid was just as blue as when it went in. No particulates whatsoever, and as you can see, the block is almost the same as when it was new. My temps never changed throughout the entire 3 year period.

The slight marking you can see is drying marks from the tap water I used to flush the block out after use.

fluidxp in white? so twice as thick as normal fluid xp? rofl . the density will kill the flow..

 

And why would it be twice as thick?

 

Density =/= viscosity
