    Hey everyone,

I'm after some new TV to watch, hoping for some suggestions. My favourite recent TV shows have been (in approx. descending order of preference):

    How I Met Your Mother
    Flight of the Conchords
    The Office (US)
    Fringe
    Heroes
    Lost
    House

I've tried and not really liked:

    24
    Dexter
    Battlestar

Any recommendations? I'm particularly in the mood for some comedy, really.

    Cheers!
    AH

Have a look at Chuck. Season 2 has just finished in america.

It is brilliant and very funny, especially if you are slightly geeky (there are a lot of computer/game references etc!)

Haha, I knew I'd missed a couple - already a big fan of Chuck and the Big Bang Theory, so I'm optimistic about the rest of the recommendations! I'll take a look at NCIS and Life. Cheers!

Damages is excellent. Or you could re-watch (I've got to assume you've seen it already because if not WHY!!!!???) Band of Brothers. Or grab Peep Show, which I just started re-watching and had forgotten the utter genius hilarity of.

I'm also looking for something new, just watched all of Battlestar in pretty much one go, and now I'm sad as it's all over... All i'm kinda feeling at the moment is getting copies of Star Trek (Voy, TNG and DS9 not TOS or Phase II)

Currently getting season 2 of chuck and reaper has come to a dead end for some stupid reason. Same with big bang theory... need moar geeky stuff...

at this rate I'm just gonna have to abuse the interpipes with lots and lots of SG1

Burn notice and In Plain Sight are pretty good (they air on USA)

Royal Pains (only one episode out so far) was also quite good.

CSI: Las Vegas and CSI: NY (I avoid CSI: Miami like the plague)

If you look at NCIS, make sure it is the original one, not the new "NCIS: Los Angeles" that they are rolling out this fall.

Two and a Half Men is always good for a laugh as well.

    My $0.02

Best city in NZ. (am an aucklander, but spend a lot of time in the south.) ready for the cold? even in summer it can get quite cold at night.

oh yeah, burn notice is quite good as well. i use to watch Eureka when i got a chance back when it was airing. Generation kill, by HBO.

Something old - Doctor Who, The Prisoner, The Twilight Zone.
All better than 99% of anything on now.
