I prefer MFN since I never get tired of the main riff tell me about it! they're on a different level.
Only one metal song? I'm surprised. It's really hard for me to pick just one... NOT SAFE FOR WORK Cradle of Filth - From The Cradle To Enslave ...So I'll pick two Dimmu Borgir - Blessings Upon The Throne Of Tyranny
having a problem chosing only one .. but anywhy here is one great song. and the same song performed about 45 years later
Meh, my favourite is Telegraph Road. Also since everyone seems to be posting 2 now: (And it goes on but this is the first half)
This is definitely is my top choice. It was released long before I was even born but I still love it.
I must say having to choose only one is pretty bloody hard. I must commend you peeps for your choices though, there have already been several songs which would've been in my short list. I was going to go for this: but I also love this one just as much: Both songs are just epic on a warm sunny day just chillin with friends
For my serious entry: "Wildfire" by Sonata Arctica - video is pants - all it is is the cover art for the album, so just listen ot it. For my silly entry: "Is There Anybody Out There" Saw this with my little cousin and the song just stuck with me for some reason...
Agree, Agree, Agree! To be honest when I first heard the song I thought he was a comedy singer too. I like the ability to not be serious in a musician though Oh, and I've got plenty more amazing songs and videos I can think of - but I'll save them for a little later
Placeholder. This is hard for me. Really hard. Shortlist off the top of my head would be; Wicked Game - Chris Issak (DEMANDS that you listen to it on a good system, the range of freq's in the high quality rip that I have (1200kbps) is amazing) Somewhere A Clock Is Ticking - Snow Patrol Stranger In Moscow - Michael Jackson Starry Night - Joe Satriani Oh screw it, that list could go on forever. I'm gonna have a think and edit this later.
My wife's favorite: Ain't Going Down This Time --Tony Joe White Suitable for all occasions: kicking the habit, asshole bravado walkings out on the job, breaking through the pain barrier, breaking up relationships. Moving on --B.B. King Suitable for all occasions: leaving do's, asshole bravado walkings out on the job, moving house, breaking up relationships. Possibly this reveals more about my wife's colourful history than I would like...
band of horses - the funeral not the official video but this is much better an awesome song, awesome video and filmed in an awesome city
+rep for reminding me about Dandy Warhols. This is an absolutely awesome song! +1 for what you said about a sunny day chilling with friends
For me it's got to be: Patti Day - Right before my Eyes Sampled so many times, but nothing can beat the original haunting vocal and the piano riff. Unfortunately most versions on the 'tubes are crap quality, with horrible compression, but here you go: ^That one's for Happy Times, and chilling out. To get the Adrenaline flowing when I was in a bit of a mood, I used to play this on a 1.5KW P.A. system in my room. I had to make sure no-one was in 5 houses either side before I did though. Dennis H. Christ, Midiman & Sparkz - PennyWise
I love this thread for its infuriating nature... Every post i read, my head goes "Wait.... if forgot about that song... " and then i want to go back and edit my post... i refuse to, however... Cemetary Gates is my fave song ever.
Two Steps from Hell - Kings Legion ****ing epic album to listen to whilst sketching away. results of said epic'ness shall be online soon.
