What the hell? £55 is far too much for a game... According to Kotaku... If they want people to pirate, the could just ask!
£55 is the RRP, most places are wanting £44.99 for the standard edition, and so far not many places in the UK have the metal case or prestiege editions to pre order (only at HMV and play.com). So really its only £5 more than what we would usually pay, which isn't too much to ask, but I agree that it would be prefered if they were to keep to the old £37.99/£39.99 pricing for new titles, I hope it doesn't become the trend for future releases, but at least its not a huge jump in price. Gaz
It wouldn't be so bad if it were only £5 but we're already getting shafted on the prices over here so the reasons they give for hiking the prices is an absolute joke.
that is a bit steep for a well waited game. I still think i'll get this. I love the first MW and I think i'm getting a bit hooked on the live play........
It's £45 at Play.com, dude. http://www.play.com/Games/Xbox360/4-/8771809/Modern-Warfare-2/Product.html
I don't actually care too much about MW2 anyway, CoD lost it when it added in respawning enemies and I can't really imagine the multiplayer is gonna be that much more amazing than CoD4s. I think I'll wait until it's gone down, or maybe the GotY edition comes out with free maps.
