awww man i was looking forward to having level 100 KGB's that gave me 10 seconds of guarenteed kritz :D

I liked the random stats idea, but not the drop system. Also, I have no hats. Grrr.

The heavy hat SO should have been a Ushanka, not a handegg helmet.

I agree. Valve really failed with the Heavy's hat. I mean, come on, they obviously should of given him a Ushanka. :(

Any achievements that require grinding are lazy efforts on the part of the developer. I don't mind realistic ones, like ones you would reach reasonably anyway, but things like GoW's "Seriously..." Are just WTF.

I have never seen a weapon drop so it wont make an iota of difference to me.

    Not fair! :(

The reason I don't play this game is I came to it late and just can't get on with what is there by default and don't get the achievements system.

Its complete balls to be honest. It only ever seems to drop people weapons they ALREADY have. Whats the point of that?

I don't think TF2 achievement system is bad. While I'm a decidedly casual player, the special weapons are not really more powerful--they're just different. The special weapons generally change the balance in pros vs. cons of the weapon, but the overall weapon balance stays the same. It just gives you more choices in you playing style, rather than give you more powerful weapons.

Why? The level has no bearing on stats at all (I've had level 0 weapons) and Valve say it's just a 'glitch'. Of course it may suddenly have an effect sometime in the future.

I just hate achievements full stop. I shouldn't have to play a game in a different way to how I would usually just to get "points".

I like the Xbox achievements but tbh in PC games they are next to pointless

uh no. i can't count the number of times i've decimated entire teams with the backburner. I remember one match where I was dominating the entire blue team because they couldn't be bothered to build an SG to cover their rear. airblast is annoying and useless. I just turn and kill the pyro end of story.

Why? That's like asking why bother with acheivements at all. I have no reason at all, just my own personal goal to raise the overall level of my weapon collection.

Annoying? Yes, to the enemy team.
Useless? No. Pushing enemies from high places, keeping Ubers out of the control point, extinguishing team mates in flames, avoiding Demomans mines, turning Demomans grenades into friendlies, throwing rockets back to the Soldier, throwing missiles back to the sentry guns, throwing arrows back to the Sniper, using rockets explosion to jump, ...

A Pyro without airblast is a limited Pyro.
