the blue panel is a 1/8" alu plate that goes behind the two black front 1/8" plates - in person you can actually see the blue behind the black plates at the flowing cutouts. Its enticing really and more so than I expected when originally hashing out the idea the particular powder I chose for the blue is so deep and vibrant I kinda want to do a whole case in the color (Ill save that for another day )

thanks for your compliments and too be perfectly honest I am stunned that this is actually all working out, I take a lot of chances on luck in my modding and everything has been so far.

yes that is the front door, technically its upside down in the pic, but you've seen the concept renders Thankyou for the vote of confidence

Great stuff sniipe. That door is beautifully executed - very 'custom' look about it but not too 'loud' or anything. Just right.

 

man, I love seeing all the little pieces, but I'm getting impatient now, put the damn thing together already!!!!

It's awesome and the small details is what really sets it apart.

hehe, I hear you guys, everything is wayyyy mare together than you would think, in fact right now I have these things left to do and it will be finished!

Done:
-Case assembly
-Radiator mounting
-8-pin CPU power soldered to the back of the motherboard
-Fan/Fan controller wiring
-Door Re-assembly
-Main case lighting

Not done yet:

-Reservoir installation
-Tubing hole in granite
-Pump mounting (waiting on last minute parts from performance-pcs)
-24-pin sorting (untangling the 24-pin wires )
-SSD mounting
-Plumbing the loop
-power switch and pwr LED wiring
-Final cleaning and pictures (next week)

 

Can't wait to see how it turns out...

Too bad about XS, you know why I'm no longer there (though I'm not banned) though I'd love a shot at that controller.

Nope, not a chance of Vent. This machine has Win-hoes, but I can't get the sound to work for love nor money.

god, wiring this mod is a pain.... sorry I dont have any pics for you guys, I am going full tilt trying to finish it up and I am very far along - drilling the granite is a total b*tch....

 

Working on it. This setup is pissing me off.

dude seriously I am not gonna get through the granite till tomorrow afternoon - currently I am drilling on my drill press with a mason's 3/4" bit.... I am moving through the granite @ 1mm/hr so far and the stuff is 12mm thick

also I dont have proper ear protection and I am gonna go deaf before I finish the next ~6hrs of drilling

 

yup i knew it would be tough, therefore the rep.

But you should really get some protection, the rig can wait a few hours or a day, go out and get yourself some good ear protection, and then continue the mod.

Awesomeness is all well and good, but not at the detriment of your health.
And something else to ponder: if you go deaf, how will you get the best of that gaming power?

yeah I know, I will get some earplugs tomorrow on my way home from a quick stop at work - Funny thing about this assembly is that it can't wait a day, I literally have tomorrow to finish building and then I have the Noreaster LAN to go to saturday moring bright and early....

 

I got through the granite! I was having a very hard time at it, so i went to the store and got another 3/4" bit and a 5/8" bit for rotary - I put the new 3/4" in and it worked well for a sec but then started squealing like a stuck pig similar to the other bit was doing and wouldnt go anymore... so I popped the 5/8" bit in the drill and gave it a go... BOOM through the remaining material in 5 seconds flat LOL

so word to the wise, always get the size bit you want the hole to be and the size below that one and alternate bits to achieve faster drilling through granite. Lessons learned

so now the bottom of the case is completely plumbed and the only thing watercooling wise I have left is installing the reservoir and plumbing that!

 

Although I've not had reason to take on granite with a drill, I have used a similar method to drill holes in a poured concrete wall. Congrats on making it through!
