Gordy your setups are ALWAYS impressive and tidy! Your setup is a great inspiration to mine, although I'm not quite there yet!

Hehe that is Minnie- and Mickey Mouse pens :D busted!

    Couple of questions.
Is your monitor and peripherals in the cupboard connected to the car-pc ?
Do you turn on your macbook with your keyboard or do you open it and turn it on?

Ah I thought they might be pens, beats having a cheap biro on your desk!

The car pc isn't hooked up to anything. I could connect it to the test station, but I don't have a need for it. When I finally get around to getting a big lcd tv in the lounge it will be used down there, but the house budget is going on more important things at present sadly.

Until today it sat under the big old crt tv downstairs in the lounge, but I wanted something to brighten up the office other than pictures so I moved it upstairs. I've got another one that will go under the tv.

I turn the macbook on by opening the lid hitting the power button then closing the lid. It's the one thing I'd change about the macbook a power button on the side or front would save me time.

Alright so the "test station" gear is not connected to anything?

I believe that the blue-tooth keyboards have a power-button on the side if I'm right? I know it is a small thing, and isn't worth getting worked up over, but I think its a pain having to open the lid whenever you need the power-button....Mine just goes to sleep all the time anyway...but still!

I've looked at the apple bluetooth keyboard, but the lack of a numpad kills it for me. If they did one with the numpad I'd be down the apple store faster than you can blink. More than anything it would be one less cable! Damn I need some therapy!

Thanks. Having an ikea close is both a blessing and a curse. The cupboards and desk purchasing required 6 different trips to ikea. (A combination of me changing my mind, planning and broken or missing items. By the end I was opening everything in the warehouse.) However it also encourages my better half to go there too often.

I don't really need the numpad for my use, but I find their price somewhat steep, and if I decide to buy it, I would be forced to buy a usb hub aswell....

Was thinking about the feature as I saw the pics and figured it would get featured if it was on there. Fancy that!

I wasn't expecting to be featured I just chucked them in the lifehacker pool.

Me to and I love the featured workspace bit, the office in the wood last week made me very envious!

It's a great website, it has lots of great tips/hacks well worth putting in your bookmarks. :)

The first 3 pictures are before I cleaned my room, and the last 4 are after.
Before anyone asks, yes, I did downgrade(well upgrade to me) from a 26" to an 18", and yes I do share a room with my brother.
