You need to get rid of those EVGA cards and switch over to ATI.

Jason (Atlas) and John (van_arnam) are trailblazers when it comes to GPU folding. Funny that the penny didn't drop on who John was yesterday when I got involved in a discussion about the P6T7 mb not being able to run 4x GTX295's. NOT. ;) Atlas has posted here before, in one of the watercooling threads, I think.

Those GPUs are the 9800 GX2s Atlas got from nitteo. That is one of the main reasons OCN started to sag. They also lost barnettworks at exactly the same time. It happened during the Chimp Challenge. Even though OCN won, they ended up losing more than they won. Personally I think the CC is jinxed.

I sincerely hope you're joking. Just in case you aren't, read this and never forget it. Nvidia GPU's are much better at folding than ATI GPU's (YES, all of them). Folding on ATI cards is possible but ill advised if you are buying a card purely to fold on. You don't get nearly enough PPD out of them to justify spending the money on 'em.

I have made a complete u-turn from verging on being an ATI fanboy and using lots of their cards in my own rigs to never thinking of buying anything other than Nvidia cards when upgrading/ building one of my own. That way, I can fold on them as well as use them for everything else.

Dunno where you've been for the past few months, Jason (Atlas) has one of the biggest and best known folding farms in the entire folding community. As Clive has already said, him and John are trailblazers when it comes to GPU farms.

Someone emailled Jason and told him about my rack farm thread (thanks whoever you are) and he was kind enough to sign up and post some info and helpful suggestions for my build.

Check out what a member called "RTCustomPC" commented on that youtube video you linked:

That verges on making me angry with the poster for being so hasty in putting it down as a useless project without going and doing some research before posting such a derogatory comment. I mean, Jason even puts a short description of the project and what his farm is for at the start of EVERY video. MAN, I'd love to tear the arrogant little p**ck that wrote that a new one. He's more than likely < 15 and hasn't a clue. About anything.

That kind of comes with the territory anywhere where "Joe" public gets to leave a comment. >90% of the comments are dross! You might be the only person who bothers to read them. :D

LOL. Only you guys need to switch over to the ATI cards. EVGA knows the value of Nvidia cards to folding.
Of course it was a joke.

LOL, nice work. Welcome to "enemy" waters ;) (I just finished watching Hunt for Red October, hence the naval terminology!)

Just brought another server online. Only a 1ghz Duron though. Oh-well, I figure since all i use it for is off-site file management that i might as-well put it to good use folding.

Only 2.8 weeks before we pass you guys :D

    http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/team_summary.php?s=&t=111065

Sorry I haven't posted here, it's just today Bit-tech decided to send me an email about this thread. So much for instant notification. I check the front page pretty much every day, just not really the forums.

I'm glad that we're all able to knock out huge amounts of WUs per day for research. My grandfather, great grandmother, uncle, second cousin, and other grandfather have all had cancer. So that's why I fold.

Oh dear, you gotta wait that long. Why don't we turn off our folding kit to reduce your wait? Would that help? ;)
