    Im completely like "WTF", yes I have been looking at airsoft guns recently so that explains where the image has come from but HOW has this happened?

    Its only on firefox and only on the mozilla start page, the regular google page is normal. Not fussed about fixing it as its kinda funny just wondered if anyone has seen this happen before?

    yeah... prolly that. it might have cached an image with the same name and overridden another one... try ctrl+F5 to override cache.

    Tools -> Clear Private Data

    Tick everything except for saved passwords, and hit OK. Hopefully that'll sort it out without needing a reinstall to recreate your profile!

    Some one could be replacing your image on the fly, you on a public network?

    But then I guess it'd be the same in internet explorer.

    What's worse is that you were looking at two-tone MP5s :p

    Tried that and it had the same effect as CTRL + F5, its not a major problem as it only seems to be effecting small, unimportant images and it isn't happening constantly.:waah:

    Home network.

    No UKARA license :(

    This made me laugh:

    OP said it was just a Firefox problem, which is strange. Tried a full uninstall/reinstall?

    just delete your profile from c:/user/you/appdata/mozilla. it'll have to rebuild the cache from scratch.

    and probably do a memtest/hdtune scan to make sure it wasn't hardware that corrupted the cache in the first place.

    i reckon it was very aggressive caching done with a javascript or something on one of the sites... that probably corrupted your cache...
