I'm making Black anodized version of these grills too http://www.mnpctech.com/Computer_Billet_Fan_Grills.html
Im thinking of getting some of those grills for my build. Going to have a bunch of new fan holes to cover the silver and black will make my case match my blackberry storm.
Thanks everyone ,Yea the grills are great the quality of the finish is second to none,i'm really pleased with the way they look.Well,I had to work at the weekend so I didn't get anything done, got a busy week this week and the week after i'm going to Prague so this is going on hold 'till I get back.
Been a while since I last updated this as I haven't had much time lately, anyway I sleeved the power/reset switches individually Fitted back in the case I got two of these displays to monitor the water temperature in the two res's These are going in to one of the 5.25" bay covers which i've marked out And after a few cuts with the Dremel Before the displays go in I wanted to spray them white, which means dismantling them,to do this you need to cut the retaining slots on one side Cut out with a sharp knife Tha back should just pop open then Tha PCB removed Now i'm left with the piece I want to paint Sprayed and clear coated Test fitted in the cover Just need to reassemble them now,I hope to get this finished at the weekend that's if the missus doesn't get on my case about doing the garden,it's starting to get a bit wild out there
you use a LOT of cable sleeving, it's great to see! Furthermore the top is as KILLER, it really, really looks good!!
Thanks Gaoske Thanks Odin Eidolon Thanks jegerjon Thanks stonedsurd I've reassembled the displays and done a quick test just to make sure they were ok Everything seems fine so i'll solder them up to the sensors in the res's tomorrow.
Looking great so far Where did you get those displays? or what are they at least? I've been looking around for something like that for a possible build on a Corsair Obsidian.
Looking good. I like the sleeving job on the power and reset switches, very nice. Also nice mods to the LCD temp displays, you'd think they would make a white version also considering how well yours turned out .
Thanks woody Thanks [ZiiP] NaloaC,I got the displays from Here Thanks The boy 4rm oz,aye you would think they'd make different colours Thanks Bill Well this is finished now apart from the lighting,I need a couple of extensions for the CCFL's,so I wont post the final pics untill I get them fitted, but here's a couple of pics of the front with the displays in Final pics to follow soon
