Thanks :) Quite happy with it this time.

    Thankyou!

I've had an idea for my power button, finally.

It'll be clear acrylic backed with orange vynil, and backlit with a white LED showing HDD activity.

Started on the acrylic already and I'll post pics soon as I actually get somewhere with it :D

Two words " simply perfect "

You could make a 2nd one in the opposite corner for HD activity

Thanks! Good idea, maybe I could make that a Lambda, bring round the whole theme to the front too, I'll see how easy/hard the button is first :D

Woohoo! Xigmateks arrived today, got too busy doing the install and putting the PSU back together, sooooo...

2 Pics of work already done!

And an overall look at what's goin' on inside:

Eagle eyes ones amongst you may notice that the bottom one is slightly out of alignment with the hole. That's 'cos I made an error doing the measurements for the new mount !DOH! Ah well...

Next up the button! Got the switches for that too now.

Thanks man! Been cutting the acrylic button today and I have no idea how I'm gonna do the cutout on the front panel. As always though I shall persevere and it shall be done!

Apologies for the pics but a bit of an update, I've cut out the button. Not a bleeding clue how I'm gonna do the holes on the front panel though!

    Then:

Drill holes with a pretty small drill.
Then use a small file to make the holes wider and more to shape.

Yep you're probably right mate, guess I'll have to get me some needle files! I was thinking maybe make a seperate piece for the centre but that'd ruin it I think.

*Edit* Needle files ordered :thumb: £2.50 off ebay :D They should be fine for acrylic maybe not anything stronger, lol.

Btw, the £2.50 files were suitably shocking, terribly cast ultra brittle, half the cast missing. Serves me right :p

    Thanks John! :)

I'm thinking I might make some fan centre stickers just like EEL did on his Checkmate, his looked nice and I think they're a great touch. Maybe one day someone will be nabbing my ideas :D

Still not started on the cutout, cos I reallllyy don't wanna wreck my front, lol!

*Edit* Please to note, yes I did get the cats to match my colour scheme  Not really but they wouldn't shift!
