Yea, the guy pretty much falls to pieces gradually over the film. I have a thing about my teeth falling out so there were some bits I really squirmed at. Oh, and a few people going pop... :p

    I enjoyed it.

I sorta want to see a sequel now, though.

The only bit that got me going a bit weird is the fingernail bit, when he pulled one off..

I don't really see a need for a sequel, we have far too many now and this film really doesn't need one.

I really want to see the film. It's showing at the cinema here (yes, there's only one in Windhoek), but i refuse to go there. the place is f**** up beyond belief, and the price they charge is very much "To go to the cinema with the missus or to just buy the DVD and a cheap old DVD later". It really is that expensive Cinema or extensive Dinner for two turns into a consideration, and normally i know that i don't have the following when i chose dinner for two.
    -broken seats
    -coke-sticky floors
    -popcorn on the broken seat
-idiots ruining a move for me by answering the phone, chatting loudly, etc
    -and some more annoyances
    ...

Really great film, although the plot has more holes than a swiss-cheese.

Also, when the mech suit thing starts running around the animation was a bit dodgy, looked almost like claymation at times. everything else was excellent, the fooken prawns looked great

Well, I want to know what happens after the events of the film :p

I mean, we know roughly what happens, but even if it was just a short film, I'd like to see an entire conclusion rather than a partial and some assumptions :D

Yea, there is a decent R5 floating around the net. I watched it again tonight, but the sound could be a lot better!

I'll be picking this up on blu ray when it appears.

    Awesome movie.

The pacing is excellent - The buildup never gets boring and the crescendo just kept me enthralled.

The Half-Life references, whether intentional or not, were awesome too. Pig! :D

The ending was satisfying too, so much so that I really hope they don't ruin it with a sequel.

Syriana's fingernail scene was quite worse to be honest (since they actually ripped, rather than "oh it just kinda came off"). Ever since Syriana though I've noticed a lot of movies doing the fingernail bit.

Fantastic movie. I would love to see a sequel. I want to find out what happens afterward.

Due to a medical condition associated with my asbestosis called 'clubbing' my fingernails and toenails fall off by they selfs. No pain but it does upset others when one decides to fall off at inconvenient times. No hair off me to watch but ruins a lunch engagement.

    john

    /edit

I have had some toenails permanently surgically removed. Too much bother.

I think it was made even more impressive by the fact that most of the lines by the lead character were ad-libbed. Good film altogether though. Very enjoyable. Even felt sorry for the aliens towards the end of it.

God, that scene of Syriana was less than charming.

Yeah, it does seem to be getting more common. I guess it's 'cause everything else has been done to death..

I had the DEViSE release the morning after it got pre'd and audio is absolutely spot on, tis a 1.38GB release though - I think there was a single CD release, maybe the audio was a bit dirty on that. Might have used the audio from the TS.

Yes, in a way, because in this story, there are aliens who eat cat food and have a big space ship with lots of human popping guns.

I downloaded a different version of the R5, it has the same audio problem, but it's in sync. Perhaps I'm just being picky :p
