lol come on someone had too, I've been meaning to do this since I saw this thread That's a rock band 1 Fender Strat level 20~, a GH3 Gibson Les Paul with custom strap aka string! Level 50~ and last but not least a GH:WT guitar at level 85 ^_^
I used to have the GH2 guitar for ps2, have the GH3 guitar for ps3, and also have the original RB bundle for my ps3 :O
My les paul, some of your may remember me getting died not that long ago, but luckily GAK took it back and I got a refund instead of a replacement. (Quick edit: A friend of mine is pretty in with the crowd at GAK, doubt I would have got a refund normally after having it this long) So a bit guitarless, apart from a les paul special II, which is alright to mess about on. So looking for something around the £200-£400 mark, any suggestions. So far my list goes, Epiphone korina explorer (£350). Or may get a gothic (£255) and spray it olympic white . Squire telecaster standard, actually not a bad guitar for £200ish Ibanez RGA32 (£270) Something else nice. Or build my own something.
Since there's been no new content I'll show you all what I was working on a while back: (it's just a sanded down cheapo strat, I din't carve it or anything) Any suggestions on what colour to paint it?
Nah, you'd have to polish it all the time. Do the duck-tape thing. Then stencil some cheesecake into it.
I'd go with a "dakota" red. or a Lake placid blue metallic. Both are shown http://www.manchesterguitartech.co.uk/lacquer.html there. Steve, the guy who runs that store/site, is a wonderful bloke, and his paints are really good, despite only being aerosols. If the grain's any good, I'd be tempted with a clear/clear red laquer, but that's because I like red >.> Clear Blue doesn't look too brilliant on strats, just fyi, I don't know what it is, but it just looks bad.
There are some nice guitars here, who'd have figured us computer nerds for axe-wielding rock gods eh? Seeing as basses (and ukes!) are allowed: 2007 Musicman Stigray 5 2004 Fender MIA P And a 200something Squier P EDIT- The resizing process seems to have messed some thigs up, just click the 'full size' bars and the pics get better.
I LOVE YOU!!!! I have been trying to remember that site for some time. I was scouring through my emails of when I was getting advice from Steve, but I have no idea what email address I used. I thought it was lost forever. Oh and ending credits, your bedsheets are to die for.
man. i really miss my fender 4 string performer ... currently keeping the calluses in check on my old peavy foundation 4 ... homemade fretless. with no electronics. which is fine, as i don't have an amp or DI box anymore.
I'm thinking of getting a Gibson Strat cos no one makes a guitar that looks anywhere near as nice as that....
