    So talking about bolt action the other day got me thinking how much i love bolt action rifles in games, such as the k-98 in DoD:S...

    But what's YOUR favourite game gun of all time?

    if someone says Halo sword i might kick off... but chances are i'll allow it. plus i need time to muse upon mine so get posting! :rock:

    30.06 Sniper Rifle from Deus Ex. With enough skill points and the silencer upgrade it became a useful tool for quickly disabling cameras and alarms.

    Fav game?? thats a tough one, there are so many games i like to play, atm has to be the cod4 .50 cal sniper rifle, so nice to get headshots with that.

    But it doesnt show the real power of the rifle, it seems to be lost in the game:

    know what you mean dude. love a good sniper rifle, especially the 50 cal. ...used to take out engines at distance and now illegal to be used on human targets. you still would though :p

    My favorite game gun would be the railgun from Quake III Arena:

    Never came across a sniper rifle in a multiplayer game that was so much fun to use on friends. :D

    after that proberly either the Doom rocket launcher or the doom 2 double barreled shotgun with its awesome animation.

    I was thinking about posting a thread on this exact topic, never bothered though.

    Mine is a pretty long list tbh, most of which I won't remember to write down.

    I love the assault rifle in Unreal II, that reload sound with the gas venting is immense...

    UT's flak cannon and rocket launcher (UT'99, not any of the other ****)

    (I know that isn't the right one, but there're surprisingly few screenies of them)

    M21 from CoD4, scout from CS:S, the pump shotty from Soldier of Fortune 1/2 (simply for the epic gibbing and severing made possible)... I'm trying to think of a chaingun/minigun that is particularly special, but I think they're all pretty awesome.

    the chainsaw in doom, or the chain part of the GOW gun ;)

    if we insist on it actually have to be a gun, then the scoped Colt in Counterstrike, or the BFG in doom :)

    edit: the nail gun in FEAR was great as well

    My fav is the Bullpup and teh Dual Elites .40 cal is CS:S
