Some games I understand. Snowboarding, racing, flight sim etc. ie games you can't do yourself either cheaply or legally. But you could buy a real skate board for not a lot and try the real thing. I just don't see the fun in games like this.......

    Queue the flaming.......

I'd rather just wait for Natal as undoutedly there will be a motion enabled version of a skate boarding game.

lol I just read the top of the RSS feed in my browser I thought who is going to make a Theme Park ride based on Tony Hawk. What would it be a giant statue of him jumping and giggling around whilst you have to climb him. Then I read the news article. Personally I think my idea was better maybe Tony should put a call into Thorpe Park?

You can buy a fairly decent skateboard for £100.

Eh, personally, after hanging around with a lot of skaters during secondary school and watching how badly they tore themselves up, I'd rather play the games. :thumb: I had a go in real life and while I didn't break my neck, I'd definitely classify it under "ouch". If I bail in the game my character picks himself up and gets on with it again... real life doesn't have a reset button. ;)

Personally I liked THPS3 a lot, but as the games have progressed, I've steadily got worse and worse at them. :(

Will this be for the Wii and can't I just use the Wii fit instead of the skateboard?

Unfortunately they don't always heal well as my knee reminds me frequently after I went cartwheeling down a ski slope about 7 years ago, and there wasn't even any breaks.

Is it just me who would rather sit back with a beer and be incredibly lazy when playing games? I hate this new wave of peripherals.

Did they actually give a reason for the delay?

Presumably you press a button with your foot. Or maybe you actually do jump on the board?

Oh, man, can you imagine the lawsuits from all the fat kids jumping a few inches then injuring themselves? Or the RMAs of the board for the same? :hehe:
