When it came out I tried it a couple of times. But to be honest, even if bing is better (which I'm not convinced yet) I'll still be using google just because I'm so used to it.

    Same as GFC.
I'm just too used to google.

I did obsessively double-search on bing and google to compare results something like 2 months ago, but even then google gave me what I needed quicker and better.

After installing Windows 7 the other day and using IE8 which defaults to Bing search I had my first genuine experience with it. Bing failed to give me what I was looking for so I headed over to google and got exactly what I wanted in the first few results.

Bing still isn't good enough for me.

As I conveyed in the ad-like Bit-tech logoed survey, it's okay, but not a substitute for google. I've noticed that a lot of sites are now featuring "look this up on Bing" links.

Bing can throw all the money they want at trying to get people to come over, but if it will succeed, it will take time.

I use Bing cashback, and have used them for brief product shopping, and find it ever so slightly better than google's product search.

What I still don't get is how Bing is a "decision engine."

I find that both come up with such varied results I tend to use both. I work as an IT support rep who is the main contact for roughly 200 users across Europe and sadly I can't answer every query off the top of my head so I do turn to a search engine on a regular basis. With the same string both will give me different hits.

What I would say its the best comparason between the two (and I highly recommend this is searched out of work, behind closed doors and the other half bribed out of the house with a tenner for a bottle of wine (yes i am cheap date)) is to type in 'porn'. Google will bring up a list of all the free porn streaming sites... Bing will give you definitions and wikipedia.

Also a good URL for comparason: http://www.bing-vs-google.com/

    But It's Not Google

used it once or twice, but as my search engine tends to default to google guess what tends to get used...

...well Bing is "familiy filtered" isn't it?
which is a reason not to use it ;-)

Other than that? Meh, has no pluspoints over google really.
And yes, that "survey" really was more an ad than a survey, wasn't it? No criticism allowed in this survey.

The "survey" popped up again. What the heck?

imho, I'm becoming even more less inclined to use Bing the more I see it advertised.

Why is google so ubiquitous? Ease of use, and a solid reputation.

I still find that it doesn't give me the results I want, where as google is much more accurate. I can also navigate google easily where as bing just looks cluttered.

I used to use live search religiously but moved to google. Tried bing but google is my default search engine.

I use Bing at work as Google is blocked by our OpenDNS. I honestly don't see much difference between the two and me sticking with Google at home is more than likely down to pure habit.

Well its more or less instinct now to type in www.google.com when i want to search something so i can't see me changing that very easily. Plus googles better imo
