    I don't think the contract explicitly covers bands covering others' songs, but it should be blindingly obvious that that's what Activision intends.

    So, No Doubt and Courtney Love have BOTH signed themselves up to a project that they obviously had no idea about... One play of the game, and they'd have realised that you pick the character, then pick the song. Not you pick the characters, then get locked into playing 2 songs.

    I don't see Clive Winston complaining that he's only allowed to play songs by the Donnas. Funnily enough, I don't remember Bret Michaels complaining about GH3 either! Get a wad of cash, get in a video game, see record sales boosted as a result!

    Not flippin' rocket science...

    Hey I would say probably most people under 20 don't know them . They probably only know Gwen Stefani as a solo artist. They are a 90's band, right? (maybe a little into 2000's)

    this shtuff is bananas.

    In all reality though, why are they so mad? Their avatars get more exposure, unless this is an issue of compensation. I.E they thought they should get paid since their toons are being used more.
