You know what I hate? The way modern trailers basically tell you the entire plot except for the ending. I now know virtually everything about that show, and watching it will simply be a process of filling in the blanks. It strips the actual show/film of any suspense or mystery.
Just watching the pilot now, have to say this is bloody brilliant stuff. Elizabeth Mitchel though....talk about an attractive older woman!
It's such a terrible remake. Not a patch on the gritty atmosphere of the original. I was horribly horribly disappointed! It's more of a soap opera than an action adventure.
Another good episode and this one makes it clear just how good Morena Baccarin is in the role of Anna. Spoiler So who thinks Alan Tudyk is actually dead this time?
Everytime I'm getting into this show, some ridiculously bad CGI will drag me back out. Like towards the end of the last episode when they revealed that Spoiler the hot blonde chick is the hot brunette chick's daughter , why have a CG corridor? Is it that expensive to build a corridor? A small gripe maybe, but it comes across as a cheap SyFy TV movie. Also (and this is so juvenile but I have to ask), if you knew the blonde girl was a lizard under her 'skin', would you still? I ask because the scene with her in the bedroom totally reminded me of a great Outer Limits episode.
CGi isn't expensive these days but it is a bit **** at times on these mainstream sci-fi shows but really cheap shows like Sanctuary often do an amazing job with the budget they have, it makes my head itch with confusion.
