Partically stupid question, how do we invite people onto the wave?

If you have invites you'll have a wave called 'Invite Others to Google Wave'. As you've just been invited on you probably won't get any invites for a bit, though I got some the other day which was a nice surprise :)

Unless you mean wave and not Wave (this is gonna get confusing!) in that case you press the '+' button at the top of the wave and choose them from your contacts.

Ah I see, I meant invite people on to Google Wave not onto a wave! In that case I shall have to wait a bit before spreading the love around.

Is there any way to change one's Wave name, or is it linked to my gmail/google name?

I don't think you can change the wave account name, but if you click on yourself in your Contacts list and choose 'Edit Profile' you can change the name that's displayed, it doesn't have to be the same as on your other Google Services.

Is it as brutally slow for every one else? I couldn't get to the end of the large bit intro wave with out hanging my browser.

It's never really been all that slow for me, but we discovered it's best in Chrome with Google Gears installed. Which is what I was using all along!

I browse normally in firefox and just have Chrome open for Wave.

Ahh forgot about chrome, i'll try that.

Yup chrome seems to have sorted me out, I very much doubt my tech department are going to appreciate the extra bandwidth this is using though.

On one of my computers, I saw a warning that IE without chrome frame was not supported. If anyone else experiences massive slow-downs or errors, just use Chrome.

Can someone invite me to the bit-tech wave or publish the name so that we can find it? That is if you dont have to be invited. My wave name is the same as this one. Thanks.
