Think this little guy (around 2.1mm long) is a springtail.

One of my Grandad, when for some reason we decided to go to Morecambe. You wouldn't guess I took this in August rather than right now in November...

Really like this - but I think if you cropped out some of that white wall and focussed more on the guy's expression, it would be even stronger. Some great pics on your site too, keep posting in the thread :thumb:

Sifter, that photo of your Grandad is awesome. I love his expression, it just speaks a ton about the climate :)

I finally have a photo of the day, and I actually took it today (not 30 minutes ago):

I'm still on a mission to take a good photo with a crap camera. It's an interesting challenge to occupy me until I make my fortune.

Nice portrait. I would like it more if grandad was further off to the right, indicatating that he had somehow been moved towards the right of the frame from the wind, if you get my drift. :)

Stuart - glad you posted that one, I saw it on your site and thought it was a cute shot. Did you add the angel wings in Photoshop or draw it with a flashgun or something? Nicely done, althogh it's a shame he's off centre.

Greg - Thanks; I toyed around with the crop in Photoshop quite a bit - thinking about levelling off the horizon, and deciding not to for the same reason you suggest moving him to the right, trying to give that sensation of the wind blasting away. You might be on to something with giving some more scenery, though...

Thanks! I used a small LED keyring light to draw the wings whilst the shutter was open. I can't remember why it's off centre, but it was quite a while ago when I was doing my course.
