    Firstly I must give thanks to bocian :rock: for his model of the HD5870 graphics card.

    I have created a model of the EK-FC5870 water block to fit this card.

    I must mention that I had to alter the scaling of the card slightly and modify the mounting plate to suit.

    Thanks to Mick64 for the above two great models.
    Be warned, file sizes are massive!

    hey Mick64, just a tip, in your psu model don't make the the circles on the fan grill with like 50 edges. 12 edges for such small parts is way enough, or even lower. since you won't see any visual difference due to the size of those details. also, i removed the grill and some textures and it made the file drop to 9mb instead of 18mb and gave me alot more fps. otherwise the model is really really nice, i hope you won't take that advise badly :S :thumb:

    also, i see alot of users never "clean" their models before submiting them. cleaning them can reduce the file size by alot (i've seen it get over 40% smaller).
    just click on the "model info" button or in window/model info and under statistic, press "purge unused" Please do that before submiting your models ^^

    I added that one back in May: http://scc.jezmckean.com/item/339 :eyebrow::confused:

    Edit: sorry, just read the thread! How have you improved the model?
    16MB is rather larger than would be practical...

    Browsing through some webshops i came across this awesome looking block, and decided i wanted to see how it'd look inside my case.

    I must mention that this model is NOT up to the standards of the other entries. I drew the entire thing by guesstimating the dimensions. I based myself on Bocian's 5870 model and some pictures of the block. I also never bothered to model the inside or underside of the block.
    Due to the guesstimationwork i can only reccommend usage of this model so people can try out different looks for their cases.

    If you want it, please contact me through mail, as i have no way of hosting the file myself. :wallbash:

    Edit: forgot the name of the thing :duh:
    It's an Aquagratix HD5870 waterblock.

    @SolidSnake, emailed re rapidshare restrictions.

    @Xtrafresh, the model looks great, but I will have to insist that the dimensions are accurate before I can add it.

    I have a feeling I may have missed a couple of submissions recently - could anyone who I haven't addressed please let me know?
