I think I'll be sticking to the humble pork pie. The king of all pies, a real prince among thieves.
To make it a bit more seasonal I'll eat it with some pickle.

Being a little bit odd in the tastebuds, I love pies with lots of pastry, so the Waitrose ones would probably be a winner for me :)
    Good times!

Its 'oddball' features like this that keep me coming back to Bit-Tech...

    Long may it continue.

My only problem with pork pies is that I could easily get several thousand calories into my mouth in quite a short space of time while eating them.

Good round up, and I think we need some shots of the internals, not only for the non-brits who have no idea what they are but also because you eat with your eyes as well.

I don't know if they still sell them but Lidl's deep filled mince pies are excellent.

They phoned up, and left a ranty voicemail. It was a couple of years ago, after the review that's on the "Classic Reviews" page. They were not impressed that a PC magazine had dared to pronounce upon their pies.

Some of those prices were crazy. No way would I pay £1+ for a single mince pie...:eeek:

This only leaves the question "What is in a mince pie, and what is a mince pie?" For the non-UKers reading this, lol.

I'll take my own advice and google it!

    ^^Ditto to this

I saw Sainsbury's mince pies yesterday and remembered I had the mag in my bag but hadn't read it yet. Got them anyway as they were only £1 (on offer). Would agree with the review on the pastry but maybe not be so harsh.

Cue Greenpeace moaning that the 'chemical' taste of some of the pies was caused by PC manufacturers dumping stuff. Again.

Seeing this is a REVIEW, I'd prefer the pictures to be here rather than in Google. Now want a cookie with that nice cup of smartpants? ;)
