Please, please, please change the steering wheel! It doesn't do your work justice at all!

Also if that is only for the steering wheel adjustments; think how awesome the rest is going to be!

maybe he could just take the electronics from the plastic wheel and make the metalcasing himself without need for sponsors  (which would be nice too)

Just what Autti say that plastic Wheel.
One of the best steering wheels looks cheap in combination with your work. :eeek:
Anodizing the aluminum black so as you did by Dark Blade?

Or make your own wheel just what Delta FX says.........
    And sell it to Logitech.:D

You just spend a 20 page worklog, making a mechanical monstrosity that makes your steering wheel flip up and down? You my dear friend are made of win :D

I've followed this since the beginning and appreciate all the work, however... all that effort but no holes to permanently mount the wheel? Or will you, as speculated, place the internals in a new housing? I see many possible mounting holes along the edges.

Whatever the case, excellent work.

I agree, the wheel doesnt do it justice at all, should atleast be the G27 :p

I reckon if asked nicely they might be able to sponsor this with a G27 or atleast a heavy discount on the price.

i cant wait to see all of this anodised black.

I disagree about the metal cover or logitech doing a special edition for it. From what i can see this build is more about the usability and ergonomics of using the wheel and foot pedals. And being able to upgrade the wheel and pedals is a nice option.

Agreed, Burnout21. Though I do agree that the Wheel doesnt do this build justice, its not about the wheel, but the engineering around it that counts.

A custom cover would be cool, though!

    VERY awesome!:D
I agree, Logitech would likely supply you with the best steering kit they have if they saw this.

The G27 really isn't much of an improvement over the G25. They just added adjustable pedals, and smoothed out the internals. And in the process of doing that they took away the sequential mode for the stick, ruined the wheel buttons, and added some silly blinking shift lights.

The G25 is still top of the pile when it comes to consumer racing wheels. I have one, and it is, frankly, fantastic. Of the few features I really wanted to see added, none ended up on the G27.

    @ G69T

Huge thumbs up on the mod mate. Looks like this is going to be the most overbuilt and awesome racing cockpit ever. I don't suppose the name has anything to do with a particular Aston Martin does it? :D
