So I built my rig last month, with a gigabyte x58 UD5 motherboard, the mobo has been giving me nothing but problems so time to change it out. Here are my two options: Asus P6X58D PREMIUM; has sata 3 and usb 3 Asus P6TD DELUXE: sata 2 and usb 2 I know the P6TD-DELUXE was recommended by bit-tech in their buyer's guide, mostly because sata 3 and usb 3 aren't really worth it right now, but I can get them both at the same price when exchanging my UD5. Basically I want the best one of these two for overclocking.
I would go with the P6X68D as its future proof for when sata 3 drives and usb3 become common. Also if you get a fast CPU then you probably wont even need to overclock it and even if you do its probably more gonna be based on what cooling you have not the capabilities of the motherboard.

P6TD, clock the nuts off, and ONLY IF you ever need them, buy the add-in cards. Let's face it - how many people have a bunch of USB3 devices and SATA3 hard drives kicking about?
Well, since you can get them for the same price i see no reason why you wouldn't go for the newer one. Just out of curiousity, what kind of problems did you have with the UD5?
