Well considering the content server load has suddenly jumped to more than double the usual, i'm impressed it's working at all to be honest :)

Godammit, I wish HSBC would stop putting a block on my account whenever I make multiple purchases from Steam in a short period of time :grr:

EDIT: It seems my card wasn't blocked this time, the Steam servers must have been too busy and declined my request.

ok I just managed to get 13 games for 10.45 so happy Xmas to me :)

    I got

    Action Indie pack = 5 games = £3.59
    Lucas adventure pack = 4 games = £1.74
    Rome - total war - gold = 1 game + 1 expansion = £1.24
    hunting unlimited 2008 = £2.99
    Alpha Prime = £0.59

hopefully steam have realised that if they stop charging ridiculous amounts for games and have more sales that people will buy more things just on the off chance that the game might be worth having.

Overlord Complete Pack = $17.99, a bit priecey but hey I'm getting 2 1/2games and good humor.

GTA IV = $7.99 a steal no matter how you cut it
Deus EX GOTY: $6.99 I'm not complaining
    BYGE: $6.99 Still not complaining.

A wee bit expensive but I think I'm getting my moneys worth. Gotta love their sales.

I think it's a bit crappy that non US residents have to get a cut version of the game too, I hate anything that's cut, just doesn't feel like the author's true vision of the game :wallbash:

Bought the unreal pack, braid, trine, the witcher DC and defense grid. Considering the eidos pack but at £35 I'm not thinking it's worth it seen as I don't like tomb raider, the hitman blood money demo I played was crap on my xbox, and I don't like WWII games so the only things I want are thief, Batman and the 2 deus ex's.

dont get me started on that, if you saw what edits were done to Xenosaga 3 when it hit western shores it would make your blood boil with rage :grr:

umm... i always was under the impression that the US market got the cut version. all of the sex related content was stripped from the american release. to fix it USmode=1 to USmode=0 in the game's .ini file. america has a strange attitude towards sex. i have always thought it so odd that games set in ww2 have to have nazi imagery removed when sold in germany... whatever.

Nazi imagery is illegal in Germany, regardless of depiction.

According to a steam post that trick doesn't work. I was looking on the steam forum to see whether or not EU residents got the EU version but that was a no and someone mentioned it but then later edited their post saying he tried it and it doesn't work anymore. Maybe they patched it :sigh:

EDIT: Just felt the need to quote this. Describes the US raiting system perfectly ^_^

I got a few games on the "Special" offer yesterday.(mirror + stalkers)
They're now back up to "normal" sale price.

I fancy getting Hawx, just played the demo and it's a nice air combat sim that looks nice.
It's in the sale at £10

Do you guys think it will appear in the "special" range in the next few weeks?

I could just wait for the 3rd and check every day, but I may as well get it now if it's not gona be on a special.

Bought Serious Sam HD (was £8.99 this morning), Bloody thing wont start on my rig but will for the OH. From the Steam forums it appears to be a common issue too.

    Fail.

::EDIT:: Did some hunting around and some playing with my rig, turns out Serious Sam HD doesn't like my overclock. Removed that and bingo. Weird no?

Same thing with Blazing Angels, wouldn't start, in the end found out it won't work with Windows 7, doesn't even work for Vista!
