Sadly...a Zen X-fi 16GB, which is not very reliable(the buttons are odd and seem to swap menu functions at random)
Happily I use a pair of Denon AH-C751's-usually with the PC. The stock pair of EP-830's that came with the Zen suffice for outdoor's, especially since the music on the Zen has to be in MP3 format anyway.
I'm thinking of getting a Cown s9 as an upgrade.

Thought I would stick this in here as its not really bargain as its not yet been confirmed, and the fact its very relevant to this thread. But apparently in Tesco (instore) you can get some sennheiser MXL 70 VC for £1.

Now obviously these aren't the best in the world, but for £1 they will do great for people like me who use them for (extreme) sports.

I'm going to check those out. I could buy those and pick up a cheap tacky 4GB MP3 player for freerunning.
    Nice find.

If a better player exists, I'd like to see it.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention I was using rockbox on my ipod. I find it to be a bit buggy, every release has the same issues. Seems to be unresponsive on menus with the wheel sometimes, until I click a random button then it starts working, I don't know if its a feature or a bug but its bloody annoying.

The themes are nice though and it does seem to read the battery level better. I saved this one from the brink of death and the default firmware never seemed to read the battery right even after updating it.

I dont think rockbox will every be stable for the common user, unless you know how code and compile it yourelf for your device your stuffed.

Good effort the guys put into rockbox, for some it works for others its annoying.

The project has progressed quite a bit from the day it started though.

My setup is quite atypical, but I can take phone calls even in very noisy environments.

    Nokia 3110C's mp3 player
+ Philips SH1111 (handsfree kit + headphone jack)

I might change the music source for a muchly praised Sansa Clip+ (4Gb might suffice.)

I'm a musician, and I'm also deaf in one ear. Not from too loud music I'd like to point out, but at the risk of sounding old (I'm 20):

Do not destroy your hearing, when it's gone you will be very, very sorry you liked your music too loud.

What's better than loud music? Being able to hear.
What's worse than being deaf? Tinnitus, not being able to sleep, popping/uncomfortable ears and, most importantly, not enjoying music the way you used to.

Now, what you class as loud may or may not be dangerous to your hearing but it's food for thought.

With a bit of luck, the op I'm in for in Feb will fix my right ear, I'm getting some plastic bones put in to replace my hammer, anvil and stapes which will all be removed.

Sorry to put things on a downer, but it's something I feel very strongly about.

    On topic:

I have an ipod nano 8GB (one of the last generation 'fatties') coupled to a pair of Denon AH C551's.
