    Ahhh, I love it - I presume they're bollards of some description? :)

    Thanks!

    Nice Greg - I like how you've captured the wave as if it's about to splash out of the frame. The vignetting works really well too!

    Sorry in advance for the slight derailment...

    Sweet. As long as we're in agreement. :p

    Regarding Tim's comment about HDR - I don't mind it too much. I agree that it can look out of place if it's overdone, but I've always felt that HDR is the digital equivalent of using graduated filters on a lens. If we're going to equate digital photographic purity to what is achievable in the darkroom, I could make the argument that combination printing (for example, using multiple negatives to capture tone in foregrounds and skies) pre-dates graduated ND filters.

    Apologies again for dragging this out. If folks want to discuss it more, I don't mind doing so in another thread. For what it's worth, I'm enjoying looking at all the great photos in here. It's inspiring me to get off my rear end and start shooting more.

    It's probably worth moving it to another thread (or starting another one at least), but I do use graduated filters and I think the effect is actually very different to HDR. :)

    An experiment in skwiffing about with perspectives on an old photo I took. Quite pleased with the confusing results.

    Very cool shot, NiHiLiST. The lighting is just about perfect.

    Cptn-Inafinus - The perspective is indeed weird. It makes me dizzy just looking at it!

    @Draxin

    I am agree with you. Photoshop has killed the original photography. Photoshop has made people paralyzed. I saw that in past years people are using photoshop more and more. The original photography is the key thing after all. We learn a lot while capturing the original shots (not photoshopping it). I saw people are capturing a shot without thinking anything and then just do little bit photoshopping and they get the best.

    I am not against the photoshopping. This is only my point of view. I also respect of the people who are great at photoshopping. They are also the best. You know we need a skill to do photoshopping.

    Thanks
    stalker.
