How many people would be interested in a rack mount case for folding hardware?

I'm thinking of designing one & getting some made up.
This way we can get what we need (8 pci slots, lots of cooling etc) & it shouldn't cost too much.
After the sample model we could be looking at around £50 a case, which isn't too bad.

    Post your interest here.

I'd be interested - plus its development could be a good story to do on bit-tech and in the mag.

Sounds good - although I can't promise anything right now, if you could take as many notes/screenshots as you go along it will be really useful if we do write an article.

I'd be interested mate in at least 2 for now as ive modded some of my other rack mounts, £50-ish sounds pretty good to me as well :eyebrow:

When you get sketchup running and start cracking on with it let us know for some [Johnny 5] INPUUUUT [/Johnny 5] lol  :thumb:

Seriously, just take the crappy plastic case's of the GX2's, will drop a good 10-15 degrees, everyone I have suggested that too who has actually done it has been shocked by how much temps dropped showing how restrictive the case is for intake & exhaust!

Then you can use Rivatuner or EVGA precision and tap up the fan a little bit as well, all helps the temps and the cards life expectancy!

I have 3 sitting on each other all running excellent temps (case does have a side on) :D

I have removed the cases and put a 120mm 2000rpm fan on top of my GPUs, fans at 100%, but temps are awful as the cables are everywhere, might take a pic when I change cases but I'm too embaressed atm.

Maybe our favourite magazine could pay towards tooling/prototype costs...
Although I doubt TopGear magazine would be interested in that ;-)
I jest, Custom PC all the way!

I'd be interested in a couple, lack of a decent rack mountable case is the only thing stopping me from throwing a couple of Quad GPU machines where I have the rest of my servers...
