And with a little bondo magic I now have a front bezel (mockup or possibly final product)! A couple drill holes later and the second duct is mounted to the scrap side panel. Now with lights! The white looks SOOO pretty....
That shirt is awesome. I've had someone stop in me in the middle of a crowded marketplace in india and ask me if I was a case modder. Wear with pride! Oh, and the front looks awesome already.
That "twin engine" looks like its almost cleared for take off.. Already looking great and am sure will be a killer when finished..
Excellent what you did with the front bezel there. Looks like you just saved yourself a heap of time and money by using the front from the other case.
Thanks everybody! Sorry I am out of town for the weekend. No update until Monday, sorry Thanks! I hope so, it will need a lot of shaping to get the transition between the two ducts to look good, but that saves me almost $120 in plastic or aluminum. The bezel is shorter than the original design, meaning there won't be a top and bottom duct but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Now there is a lot of extra room on the top and bottom panels (third fan maybe?) Plus without a duct on the bottom I can now use different case feet (stock ones are plastic fold out and ugly!). Thank you! lol I don't think I want to make it any bigger I just got done making it smaller! Yes they are "256 color" RGB LEDs on the fans that came out of the A380Color. They are kinda cool but there is no good way to choose what color you want. There is a button that cycles through the colors and you can press it to lock into a color. I will proudly rock the modders shirt! Edit: I also think it may be time for a new name. The association with the A380 jet was an unintended coincidence. I knew what I wanted to build but didn't have a name and EPIC A380 was the first thing that popped into my head.

I decided to play around with the design and colors a little. Since the bezel I made from the two cases doesn't match the original concept I thought I would work up an additional concept to get some opinions. This is closer to what the case will look like if I follow the original design and color scheme. -White interior and main exterior -Red accent on ducts and fans -2x 120mm fans on top and bottom Here is the new concept I came up with. I still like the White and red but after seeing the glowing white interior inside a black exterior I like the color scheme there too. (Im not sure why the render turned out so grey but It should be a gloss white) -White interior -Black Exterior -White Fans -3x 120mm fans (for possible future water cooling) Let me know what you think!
