I quite like the grey look, but i'm guessing its the background and the case reflecting of the gloss fans that give them a grey look. Or maybe you've messing with a lighting setting as the 1st render seems a little more murkey too.
have you tried to get a brighter red in there you know like the bright eye-popping shade that those blond bomb-shells wear that will really give it some zing or you could even get some metal flake in the red just for the extra over-dose of red but i still like the white and black not to menton you all ready have white case guts
I started shaping the front bezel, I used pieces of pink foam to form a rough back to bondo over. But I ran out of bondo... (I knew I should have bought a bigger can.) So It ment a trip to the hardware store and since its snowing it was a good chance to take the subi out for doughnuts! Anyways back to bondo with a big new can! Here is what I have after 2 hours of sanding. There is still a lot of work to be done, air holes need to be filled as well as a few other gaps. Thanks for looking.
By donuts, I hope you mean a trip to Shipley's. I'm kinda sad there will be no billet porn, but there's no point after seeing how simple your solution was. -I vote for red/white with 3x120 fan sets. -You might as well stick with the a380 name. -Or 2xa380=a760. or+6X120=1480 Oh wait I see two more 120s and an 80 in the PSU...
I like the look of the three fans. (2x250)+(8x120)+(2x80)=EPIC A1620! Who said there wouldn't be any billet porn? It just won't be the front bezel. The control box is going to be aluminum and I might have a few other bits before im done. Edit: So something like this? No not yet. Ive only had it for about 5-6 months but there will be. Im still up in the air about the color but leaning toward red and white still. Yes it has been a pain, 4-5 hours of sanding so far and im still not done. I spent all of tonight on it as well. But it will be worth it to make sure it looks right and there aren't any dimples.
Im getting closer to being done with the face plate. I painted it with white primer and there are a few spots that will need to be redone but overall I am quite happy with the results.
