I've just completed Exodus, and found out that if that jeep next to the VTOL is already destroyed, Strickland just stands there and fires his pistol at that big motherf***ing alien
cool i didnt know that, i'm gonna give that a try tbh I've never bothered finishing it, I get to around mission 8 and just get bored by the lack of variety I did however used to play F.E.A.R. on ultra difficulty with only Pistols, could do that.
I have my controls just fine, so I'd rather not tweak that, but will certainly try the CCC file. Seems to work
Aye, that does happen eventually. While that does sound like a challenge, doesn't it kind of ruin it for you, that you to limit yourself to a particular weapon, just make it a challenge? And destroy variety? And thirdly: Thanks for the Crysis playthrough. Not only did you change my mind about it (I was one of those who thought it was a glorified tech-demo. Keyword is 'was') but it was far, far better than any review. Granted, the story is being spoiled, but honestly... The story isn't what makes you play Crysis in the first place. Wouldn't work for Mass Effect 2 though
Just tried the game. Borrowed my brothers game for a few hours. Returned it shortly, though. Absolute minimum settings returned around 12 FPS That roughly translates to unplayable. Maybe I should dig out F.E.A.R. again.
Trying to install the CCC config swapper, it says that Crysis has to be patched v1.2, but the patches won't install. I keep getting errors of "1492". Steam states that it was last updated on 31/12/169.... Well ahead of the curve....
I got the complete pack on Steam, so I would assume that it would auto-update as Steam oh-so-nicely does, but it is showing Crysis as being on version 1.1.1.2......blah blah. Am I completely wrong and that is up to date? Just going through Awakening now. Tanks are a bit naff, and great to get stranded in the middle of a large open field with no AT ammo...
take the side tracks like i do or use c4 on tanks fancy joining me for some multiplayer crysis wars later?
Not sure, I have it on Steam as well and it says 1.1.1.6156, but I managed to install the CCC without any problems on the Steam version (just install to C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\crysis).
I'll try it again I guess. Gunsmith, I would but I still have to download Crysis Wars. I downloaded the first, then just kept playing I should have it by tomorrow, but I also have too many things on at the moment. I have to have a PhD journal paper finalized by tomorrow morning... hence why I'm on here
Oh, if you're still looking for a new project to undertake, how's about a walkthrough of the L4D2 'The Real Deal' achievement? Could be quite entertaining
I forgot that entirely. If I get this paper revised and ready early enough, I'll pop on and give it a go. Does anyone else know if the CCC Warhead works for vanilla too? I am a complete nub with all this to be honest.
You don't want the 3.00 Warhead version, you want the 2.21 vanilla version (you can get it here) That bad, huh?
Well, I got the CCC to work, but can't load old save game up and if I try to run it at 1920x1200, it seems to freeze up and have to ctrl-alt-del to get out of it. Managed to get it loading my old save game (Awakening, just as you approach the buildings at the quarry), but it gets to 98% and then freezes completely and have to close it.
