Prince of ****ING PERSIA. He is PERSIAN. His ACCENT should be respective of the region and giving him eye liner doesn't make him Persian either.

It's half assassins creed by the looks of it as well and is anyone getting pissed off with the same "classical strings" in the background of every-damn-movie these days to try and install some kind of "epicness". Yawn. I like classic score, but seriously, get something new.

But... he didn't have a Persian accent in the games either (as far as I could tell). Looking like Assassin's Creed is no bad thing!

Taking this as a game-to-film adaptation and not a docu-drama I think it looks fine.

[edit]Should add, I only played the last PoP game and I have no intention of going to the cinema to see this.[/edit]

I've never played/liked the games, so I really don't care if it doesn't match them. Then again, I also don't care about the movie if it's just a generic Hollywood-action... I wait.

Duct tape 2 bottles of apple cider to each calf. It will:

    A. Put you in the mood, sneaky like.
    B. Make the movie bearable.

If it's nearly as bad as some of the Hollywood movies I've seen recently, a 100 oz camelbak would be more like it...

Just do what I do, wear it backwards with heavy jacket. Also, it makes sitting down much more comfortable.

Jake Gyllenhall? Really? I think seeing one of you getting plastered would be the most memorable thing about this movie.

Also my vote is to be proud of seeing a bad movie while getting sauced, wear a foam-dome with 40's on it :D

Yeah, unless they changed it, this was not the song that I was expecting as being "overused lately." I was expecting O Fortuna, Requiem for a Tower/Lux Aeterna, Ghost Love Score, Vigilante - Answers, etc. Those are the "epic" songs of the moment.

    Slightly OT addition...
Youtube links for those who are interested:

by putting that in virtually every post you are making, does it not kind if spoil the amusement factor and thus just make every post of yours a bit annoying?

Pfft. Your opinion is moot. You haven't even played the games it is based on. If you did you'd know they deliberately gave him an English accent for the sake of whimsy and the fairytale mood.

But yeah, the film doesn't look great. Shame. The games are amazing and storywise Sands of Time is up there with System Shock 2 and Deus Ex in my books.
