    I don't know what benchmarks these are (never heared of unigine before) but I'm sure you do.:D

    So i guess they are going to have to price these at around £275 since it performs between a 5850 and a 5870 as that would be between the prices of those two cards

    Top of the antec bit, says "Reed" instead of Red.

    I am not really too excited about any of the stuff, I don't even think I like computers any more :hehe:

    Only 2GB effective though so you are both correct (just depends on how you read it - although I agree the article aludes to the fact the card is only 2GB).

    Those Antec cases are fugly.

    If those Fermi 470 results are anything to go by it will be interesting to see what the 480 can do, but until we get some real world benchmarks here on bit-tech my money will be staying with me.

    I did have my eye on the Radeon 5850 since it would only just fit in to my Antec Fusion case and I hope nvidia's offering sports shorter cards or I'll be limited in my upgrade options or will have to wait for one of their board partners to do a custom board and then have to pay a premium for the privilege.

    Oh well, c'est la ve

    IF those GTX 470 benchmarks are accurate, then their not good at all given the huge delay for them.
    I was expecting something much much better , not something that is bettered by a card that isn't even ATI's fastest, makes me glad I brought a 5850 now and save the extra £200+ pounds that it will no doubt be.

    darn it I was trying to get people interested in my case design the meccase (like mechano for cases) but no one was biteing.... now antec release one - though not as cute as what I had in mind...

    Well my guess (guess have to emphasize that) the GTX 470 is put against the HD5850, and the GTX 480 is put against the HD5870.
    If that's the case, than the performance figures for the GTX 470 are okay (but only so)

    My second guess is Nvidia will want to get the performance crown back, so the GTX480 will (barely) beat the HD5870.

    I was hoping for something ....more impressive though.

    I agree, if they are correct and nVidia can't eek a ton more performance out of those cards with some driver updates, then nVidia hasn't just dropped the ball, they dug a six foot deep hole, dropped the ball in and buried it.

    The thing is those figures (which semiaccurate et al have had since Tuesday) are just bench mark tests and not real world useage. But given they only just look semi respectable and with no price tag against which to judge value, after a six month delay, they actually look pretty awful!

    Cue Nvidia fanboi rage!

    Given Nvidia's past launches, we expect the *proper* driver to drop about 3 days before release. If we're unlucky, 12 hours (it's happened before) :/
