haha I watched the first season of Top Gear a few days ago and Clarkson kept bashing the 2003 Micra

 

You really need a bumper sticker saying *my other ride's a mustang*

 

I understand why. It's completely uninvolving to drive. The steering is WAY too assisted and gives zero feedback, the clutch is as light as a feather. The ride is quite good though.

I can see why old people like them: Easy on the withered old arthritic joints

It's dull as dish water! It is quite a relaxing place to be though on the daily commute.

 

It's SORN and MOT-less at the moment, but we have plans

If you want a really relaxing car to drive try an automatic Focus. It's my current (pimp) ride and I nearly fell asleep driving through a Manchester traffic jam the other day. Bit bigger than your Micra though.

Did the original daily die in a spectacular engine-eating moment? I wish there was video of that.

How are they for salt on the roads in sunny ol' Sweden?

 

It hasn't been that bad since it's been such a cold winter this year, but usually they splash it on 24/7. My everyday drive has had it's wheel arches chewed on quite badly this year despite the low temperatures :/

Tbh I did want a black one, but seeing how hard it is to get hold of an unmolested one of these in Sweden yellow would have to do. Though you UK guys don't have that problem thanks to all the imports

Actually, this is the second one. 1st red one had 1K miles on it when I rented it and this one had 97.

National Rental has lots of them in Seattle. I'll take it back Friday noon and pick up another car when I get back to Kent Sunday morning.
